Hand in Hand

the days like the wind
go rushing by
a blur of feelings
sensitivities
aging proceeds
the end is in sight
we know not whether
to laugh or cry.

often i think of
how far we have come
as together we
walked hand in hand
through tangles of troubles
love won the day
for that love I'd do
it all over again.

how can a heart
be full, you say
how can a heart
burst with joy
only when love's
unconditional
as your love - sweeping
fear and pain away.

so Happy Birthday to
my very best friend
lover and wife and
my champion
if you see a tear
'tis a sign of joy
as in love we walk on -
hand in hand.

What a wonderful journey "to-get-her"
I know I am late to wish Lois Anne a Happy Birthday but I wish you both will have many many more wonderful Birthdays together!

You are so romantic, Lowell. This birthday present is priceless. Growing old together, you still have a long way to go, and I do wish Lois will overcome this time of hardship and celebrate the most lovely birthday fully recovered in May. With best wishes.

Thank you Lowell for the comment. I’m always happy to hear from you and enjoy reading your feedback and thoughts.

You must be spending one of the longest days in your life now. Medicines is advanced. Seven days in hospital after the operation is miraculously short. She’ll surely recover by saying goodbye to cancer. I’m confident in her will power and your supportive power...hand in hand. Not only her but also you must take care of yourself with all the concern for her. Keeping my fingers crossed... best wishes to two of you.
