Life at its best

Life at its best
sometimes consists
of nothing more
than a quiet place -
a cafe, perhaps
where talk is soft
and dreams are woven
in whispered glances
and fingered dances
on tinkly glasses
with lingering looks
and longing sighs
quickly hushed
as chiffoned waitress
shushes by.

Having real love in your life is life at its best. I love this poem. Sometimes simple events with the one you love is all that matters and is what makes life worth living...

Lovely reflection.
Totally agree that often the most pleasant moments are just the most simple ones. And it is a privilege to have your true love by your side!
God bless you
Cezar

Now my turn :-)

Congratulations dear friend!
"Love is not engaging with the perfect person, one of our dreams.
There are no prince or princesses.
Face the other person so sincere and real, supporting his qualities, but also acknowledging his flaws.
Love is beautiful, when we find someone who turns us the best we can be."

Love changes everything for good in our lives!
God bless you

Thank you for sharing of your June poetry, Jacob.
"Life at its best" is on top. For the other I need some more time for translation.
You are such a prolific writer!
